The Baseball Team will be hosting Clinton Prairie this Saturday (4/16) in their first Double Header of the season, but this double header will be played for more than bragging rights and a spot in the conference. This twin bill will be in honor of all those that have been effected by the horrible disease, cancer. For the 2016 season and in the future, the baseball team will be selecting a weekend to raise money to donate to an organization, family, friend, student, etc, who has been told the ugly words “You have cancer.” Cancer is a disease that has touched everyone in some way or another.
The entire week the baseball team will be selling shirts at the beginning of school and during the lunch periods. These T-Shirts are being sold for $10 and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to support a member of our community that is in need. Besides selling shirts throughout the week, on Saturday we will be holding a Bake Sale where 100% of the money raised will be going to the same cause. There will also be a balloon launch and a survivor walk before the game. This is an event you do not want to miss. The event will take place starting at 11:00am.
