Frontier High School
An early lead helped Frontier defeat Ballard Memorial 11-7 Friday night. The Falcons scored on a groundout , a single , a single by Conner Hayslip, a walk , a walk by Jack Mikesell, a double by Brooks Sailors, and an error in the first inning.
Frontier earned the victory despite allowing Ballard Memorial to score four runs in the second inning. Ballard Memorial’s big inning was driven by a single by Erik Marinelli, a single by Mathew Gilbert, and a single by Bradley.
Frontier took an early lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Zach Drummond scored one run for Frontier.
Sean Larimer earned the win for the Falcons. He threw three innings, giving up six runs, five hits, and striking out two. Vince Price recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Frontier. Drummond took the loss for Ballard Memorial. He tossed two-thirds of an inning, giving up eight runs, three hits, and striking out one.
Brooks Sailors led Frontier with three runs batted in. He went 2-for-4 on the game.
