The Frontier wrestling team ended it season at the East Chicago Semi-State on Saturday February the 9th, 2019. It was an outstanding season highlighted by many firsts for the school.

At 126#, Junior Jac Sproles (28-6) saw his season come to an end following his opening round loss to Penn Sr Logan Hill by a MD 12-1. This was an unfortunate end to an otherwise outstanding year highlighted by Conference and Sectional Championships! Expectations will be running high when Jac returns next year for his senior season.

At 145#, Senior Caleb White (31-3) saw his outstanding season come to an end following his opening round loss to Warsaw Sophomore Jacob Bass by fall 4:42. Caleb’s only losses on the year were to Bass, Fort Wayne Semi-State Qualifier Michael Garrett, and two time state qualifier Jorden Douglass. Along the way Caleb amassed Conference and Sectional Championships along with a Regional Runner-up finish! We wish him the best.

At 113#, Senior Colin Reagan (40-2) opened his semi-state competition with a win over Lake Central Sophomore Isiah Ponce by fall 2:00. In the ticket round, Colin saw his title hopes come to an end following a closer than the score reflects loss to Merrillville Senior Martin Cruz MD 10-0. Cruz went on to finish second and qualify for state. Colin’s only other loss this season was to Wheeler Junior Giovanni Diaz who finished third and advanced to state as well.

Colin’s career record stands at 147-17 and includes 3 Conference, 3 Sectional, 3 Regional Titles, and 2 State Qualifying campaigns. Colin has not yet decided where, but intends to continue his wrestling career after high school.
